what is the ideal sort of software to get completely clean up crap on my pc and check for any unwanted stuff and also speed it up?any clues?

Answer:
hi lee

theres lots of so-called pc cleaners around such as ccleaner and advanced windowscare personal and allthough these are pretty good the tasks they perform can be done manually in windows and save you some cash in the process

my advice is create a routine that you can perform at the end of everyday to keep your p.c clean and free of rubbish

this would look something like this

1) run disk clean up(right click local disk c>properties>disk clean up)

2)clean temporary folder ( start>run>type %temp% and press enter…>edit>select all > delete selected items>)

3)clear out cookies(control panel>internet options>browsing history>delete… this will delete your cookies,plus browsing history

the programs like ccleaner do just what i have just described, but with oneclick instead of you doing it manually

might i also recommend microsofts excellent “live onecare” (http://onecare.live.com/site/en-gb/defau… has a anti-virus and spyware scanner plus it also has a tune-up feature which cleans your hard drive, and also checks for any avalible updates aswell..you can download a 90 day trial from http://onecare.live.com/standard/en-gb/d…

any problems let me know

good luck mate !

Answer:
CCleaner (Formerly CrapCleaner) is a wonderful tool for wiping out old files and unused registry information:

http://filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

Then for malware that might be sitting around, get:

Spybot Search and Destroy

http://filehippo.com/download_spybot_sea…

and/or SUPERAntiSpyware

http://filehippo.com/download_superantis…

Using those pieces of software, you'll have a quite a bit of cleaning done. After all of the cleaning is done, download Auslogics Defragmentation tool and defragment your personal with it

The Auslogics tool is much superior than the windows default defrag tool.

Answer:
hi the best way is to goto add or remove programs in the control panel then uninstall all the stuff you dont want from there.

with other files you dont want i.e pics music documents e.t.c you’ll have to do that manually, i find the quickest way is to goto to search in the start menu then just click on photos or music e.t.c one at a tme and everything will come up then you can delete them from there hope this helps

whatever you do dont just try deleting them fom c: dirve as that dont uninstall things properly then you start having problems

dont use any of the dodgy downloads that you can get to do it they dont help matters do it your self then you know whats happening
