I’ve heard that a lot of info can get lost during download and that it has no more benefit than SP2 any thoughts would be helpful,cheers.

downloaded it a few months back and never had no problems it takes quite a time just be patient and wait, i rushed it the first time and ended up doing it all over again ithought it had finished downloading not watching the pc i went out when i got back i turned it off thinking it had completed how wrong was i.

Service Pack 3 made my computer not compatible with programs I had on my pc. But if you are a person that doesn't use older programs then it should be ok for you but for me its just not needed.

I have downloaded and installed it on 12 personal here at work and it has worked fine.

there used to be loads of probs with it, everything kept crashing but it's all been fixed and works fine now.
