Everytime a turn on my computer it tests the ram and its quite annoying because ive to wait like 30 more seconds on my computer starting up, how do i stop it from doing that, i have a foxconn K8M890M2MB-RS2H motherboard with phoenix bios. I have looked through all the options but havent seen anything to turn the memory test off, so, is there a way of actually doing it ?

Thanks

Answer:
If there’s a switch to turn off memory testing, it is in the BIOS, but be advised, some BIOS's just test memory and it can't be turned off.

Answer:
There will be an option in the BIOS to turn it off, you just haven't found it yet. It will be called something like “quick startup”, “fast startup”, “quick post”, “fast memory sizing” or something similar. Note that the BIOS has to do some testing to make sure the memory is actually there.

Answer:
Ignore Prince of Darkness - On a Phoenix BIOS, the option to turn off extended memory testing is a BIOS setting, and not changeable from msconfig.

Answer:
You won't be able to turn it off but look for a quick memory test option, that normally only takes 1 or 2 seconds.

Answer:
enter 'msconfig' into the run commands press ok, click on the boot tab and uncheck the box memory test at begin up or something…or just uncheck all the box's

Answer:
Tut Tut

Click begin open the run program type msconfig and change your boot up bios from there
