I did check that it is the correct ram and that it was within the maximum allowed for the personal it's self where have i gone wrong?

Answer:
Go back to the seller. He may be able to advise. Maybe the memory isn't correct (from him). The fault you describe seems rare. Memory should not cause any hiccups, unless it is not the right type. Did you add in pairs? Check that the new memory is in the correct slots as some PCs, e.g., Dell stipulate exactly which slots to use (not necessarily adjacent slots).

Answer:
First try booting into bios and select 'fail safe' or default options'

Have you tried the new ram on its own, is it the same result?

Boot it up with only the original ram, do a proper full shutdown, power off the base, unplug the unit, now put back in the ram and try again.

If you still have problems trying running a program like memtest, to see if the ram itself is at fault.

It would help if you could tell us what motherboard you’ve and what ram you’ve purchased.

Answer:
uninstall the new stuff, see if your pc boots.

you can also double check to make sure the RAM is fully seated in the slot

Answer:
Uninstall the new RAM and re-install it.

Answer:
Some times you have to put a disc in to install the RAM otherwise the personal might not recognise it.
