Which p.c should i purchase for gaming?
Posted on July 16th, 2008 in Desktop Computer |
i,ve recently been to p.c world comuter store and asked about buying a p.c .the guy told me that a graphic card that is 8400 wont really play games on windows vista and i'll need one that is at least 8600 to keep up with modern gaming .i want to pay around 650 pounds for a personal.do yiu have any ideas?
Answer:
the 8400 isnt exactly the strongest card on the market, so hes right in that way, but for £650 your not gonna get the best gaming pc.
if you can get a pc wiht a 8600 in it for your budget then go for that.
also try shopping online at sites like ebuyer, as there generally cheaper, cos they dont have to pay for staff thatlll tell you to get the 8600 so they get a bit extra in their pay packet. ![]()
Answer:
If you want a gaming Personal computer you can get good value for money building it up yourself, but if oyu want to purchase one aviod PC world, Dell and other mainstream Personal computer companies/stores as they are mainstream they don't aim at the higher end so much.
for £650 you can get
A decent motherboard (ASUS do some higher performance ones from about £50
Dual Core CPU can be from £120 but faster ones can be from £200
Graphics card (8800GT is a fast card at around £140 a cheaper option is an 8600 from £50-£60)
RAM (very cheap and simple to get hold of 2GB can cost about £40 )
Hard disks (not very important on size but they have the ability to be very cheap i got a 500GB hard drive for £40)
power supply (anything over 500w is best a decent one can be from about £70)
OS (OEM version of XP is about £50 it will run faster under XP than Vista)
If you’re going to buy a Computer just check CPU, Graphics and RAM and online is your best option
Answer:
Buddy for that cash I’ll sell you a water cooled Gaming rig with top end (and I mean real top not just OK, ATI 3870 and above,or, Nvidia 8800gt and above) graphics card. 19″ LCD, runing 3GHz core 2 duo/or lower powered quad and 4 GIG of corsair high end RAM Brand new with each thing with at least 3 years warranty.
DONT purchase from PC world or DELL those prices are robbery.
Even get a local personal shop to build a rig, just dont purchase from the large sellers its daylight crime.
Answer:
whatever you do, dont purchase a gaming rig from a place like pc world! the best way is to build it yourself but i guess this isn't an option for you. but there are companies that will do it for you and you can specify whatever you want. pcspecialist are pretty good, and you get a warrenty etc like you would anywhere else. check them out and design a decent gaming rig for your budget and see what you think.
i just had a quick look…quad core, 9600GT, 500GB HD, 22″ screen and vista comes in at £708 inc delivery.
