Approximately how many pics can a 1GB memory card hold?

Anywhere from 1100 (for a 2 Megapixel camera) to 250 (for 8MP) depending on your megapixel rating (and camera, to a much lesser extent). Just go here:

There’s a nice table that will answer this question for whatever MP rated camera you have…
good luck and happy photographing!
Answer:
Depends on the quality of the photos. The more megpixel the camera, the larger the file, and the fewer pictures it holds.
1gb is equal to 1,000mb or 1,000,000kb
Look at the size of a single picture, and divide that in the appropriate number and you’ll have the number of pictures you card can hold. Say your camera uses about 3.5mb per picture on its default setting (again, this varies by camera). 1000/3.5 is 285 pictures.
Also check the documentation that came with your camera. Usually there is a button or menu selection that’ll show you right on the camera how many pictures you have used, and how many more (of the same quality) you can fit on the card.
Answer:
It depends on the size of the pic. If your using a 5Mp camera at full resolution, you'll get about 200 onto your card. If you cut it down to 3Mp, it'll go up to about 330. Just think of your 1Gig as a thousand, and divide it by the photo resolution. This will give you a rough idea, but each photo varies slightly, so it'll be /- a few.
Answer:
It depends on the camera, the card and the image size. Mine will hold over 430 at 9 mega pixel, 872 at 5 mega pixel 1200 at 3 mega pixel
Answer:
Mine will hold just over about 850 on medium quality….on the top quality it will only take 600ish?
Hope that helps!
