Dell inspiron 1300 has an intergrated graphics card,

Meaning i can not change or upgrade it.

I was wondering if there is such thing as an external one,

Or a way of getting a new one in?

Unfortunately as you already said it won’t be possible to change the graphics card on the system. Something to consider for the system might be looking at something like this http://www.tomshardware.com/news/ces-asu… The device described here would hook up through the ExpressCard slot on the system and allow you to use an external graphics card. There should be further information available through Asus.

Please note that this was something I personally encountered and I thought that it might help.
