hi mate
follow these instructions for the removal of your pci graphics card and activation of your onboard graphics controller, note:uninstall the drivers and software for your pci graphics card before you begin this procedure
1)restart your pc with the pci card still fitted and when the pc restarts press delete to enter set up(bios)
2)when in bios go to advanced chipset features or intergrated peripherals (depending on bios version),and locate the “onboard video controller”,however this may appear as the controller name for example nvidia 6150 or intel gma, however when you locate it press enter and select “disable”
3)also while in “advanced chipset features” change the settings”init display first” to “onboard video “or appropriate name
4)go to main bios screen and choose “save and exit setup” to save any changes you have made to the cmos, your pc will now restart
5)allow the p.c to restart(you wont see anything on your monitor),and let it run for about 10 to 20 seconds, then manually turn off
6)unconnect the vga lead from your monitor and re-connect to the motherboard vga socket, secure as per normal
7)turn on your p.c and you will now see the p.o.s.t screen
8)when windows has loaded install the onboard video drivers and software and follow any prompts that appear
some motherboards will automatically enable the onboard graphics controller when a dedicated graphics card is removed, however in your case this seems not to have happened
any problems let me know
good luck mate !
Answer:
You will first need to enable it in windows…Go to “Start” right-click “My computer” and choose Properties…Go to your device manage and make sure there’s no “Red X” next to your graphics controller…If there’s, just enable and restart…Now you need to go to your BIOS as your system is restarting…Usually like f2, f10, etc….Once in your BIOS find the video setting and change it over from “PCI” to “Onboard Graphics” save and exit….Just remember to swap over your monitor cable….
Answer:
Go into the BIOS: Press
Go to Advanced - Chipset - Northbridge Configuration - And change 'Initiate Graphic Mode Select' to enabled.
Save & exit BIOS, then switch off.
Remove your video card, the onboard should now be enabled (remember to plug your monitor to the correct port)
If this doesn't work, reset the BIOS. (Move the jumper cap next to the battery to the other 2 pins & then back again)
