I have:

- Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz

- 4GB ram

- Nvidia Geforce 8600GT

- PCI motherboard

Can anyone advocate a graphics card that would let me play all the new nice games smoothly ie Crysis, COD4 etc.

At the moment, my pc is awsome apart from the graphics card with makes all nice games lag epically.

Budget is Preferably Under £200, But please feel free to suggest any over.

for under £200 and for crysis, i'd opt for the GTX260, it might be a tiny slower in some games than the 4870, but lots faster in crysis. ive got 2 and crysis runs at 1920×1200, very high, at 40fps, sweet. you could also check out the newer 260 (with 216 cores instead of 192) or opt for the GTX280 (£244) if you have the power supply for it.

If you have 2 PCI-E slots on your motherboard putting a second graphics card and running in SLI mode will improve gameplay for very little outlay.

I recently e-bayed a Gforce 8800 GTX for £45,so a couple of them would bring it in well under your budget.
