i recently bought a headet (mic and headphone) for msn voice conversations. i have a windows vista pc.

It didnt come with any software. it has 2 leads for mic and sound.

I’ve pugged both plugs into the correct sockets in the back of the pc, and have run msn 'audio and video setup' fine.

and have also gone through the control panel , sound, then ran that .

But the mic is still not working?

I can hear the other person through the headset , but they cannot hear anything from me?

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the mic to work?

Answer:
Right click on the volume icon in the taskbar > recording device > highlight the microphone > click default.

Also goto properties > levels > check to see its not muted as well
