Webcam and it flickers all the time above 160×120?

hello i have a microsoft lifecam NX-3000 for note books and it flickers all the time if it is above 160×120 i have tried to unistall and reistall and still it makes no difference this was a birthday present and im desperate to use it sorry but i,m not computor literate only know basic can anyone offer any help, p.s have taken it back to where it was purchased and they tested it on their computor and found no fault with the device help!!

I have a microsoft lifecam VX3000 for my notebook laptop, and everything works fine, also as i just looked at my own webcam, it had a “flicker” setting, which seemed interestin, maybe you should play around with the settings, but u have probz already done that, it seems like theres a connection in the wire that out of place, or your usb is malfunctionin in some way, but if it works on the manufactuars computer then i cant understand why it wouldnt work on your personal, when u state 160×120 where abouts are the settings for this type of resolution?
Edit: I see what you mean about resolution, but does it flicker when u take a picture, i mean, are the lines visible when takin a pic, it might just be clientside, which means only you can see it, but when using it on msn, no one else might see it, as its just your computer
