I have a Asprire- 5315. I need to know wheather a AGP 8x Will work?

the Asprire- 5315 is a notebook which dosent have a actual slot or port for graphics,the graphics are supported via a chip thats on the motherboard inside the laptop

however even so the so called “graphic adapter” still uses a type of interface(agp or pci-express) and to discover which your laptop supports download the excellent utility “gpu-z” from http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/Sys…

once downloaded simply run the program from file(no need to install it) and a small splash screen will appear,cancel any updates prompts and then you need to look for the “bus interface” entry,this will tell you which type of card(allthough in reality you havent got a card but a adapter)

if its a desktop and it does have an agp x 8 (brown) get a agp x 8 slot card. make shure its not a pci-e slot (long and black/white) or ypu need a pci-e slot card.

Isn't this a laptop? If so forget it ,the video card is a part of the motherboard and you cannot replace it.
