In firefox 3, i do any search it loads all my favourites in the search bar and obscures my view. Limited use and unlimited annoyance. How can I get rid of it.

I just reinstalled the awesome bar from firefox2.. you can have firefox 3 with the firefox 2's awesome bar.. I hated that feature also! it doesnt do it anymore.

here is how to remove toolbars in Firefox 3. There are two simple ways.

1) Click the View menu -> select Toolbars -> then choose which toolbars you want to be enabled or disabled.

2) Alternatively, you can right click on some areas of the toolbars and get the toolbar selection menu from the context menu that appears.
