which you are just suppose to load on the computer but does not work it can't find linksys the little device icon does not come in the tray even when i've restarted the personal its not there what can i do thanks for any help

The tray is a shortcut and sometimes programs don't go there.

Also, find a tiny personal icon on the taskbar and right click on it to see if you can connect to the network.

Is your network already set up? Are you trying to set up a wireless network or add a computer to it?

Is the wireless card in your personal set up? Is its software loaded? Can you get to the screen where it scans for nearby wireless networks?

When you state the disk “does not work”, what do you mean? What wireless card do you have? Were you able to install its software? Or is that where you’re having trouble?

Are you trying to install the wireless router's software on the machine or the software for its wireless network card?
